The Malta Guide Dogs Foundation is dedicated to maintaining and protecting your privacy. This includes the privacy of both your information and your pictures. By using our services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. This Policy explains what personally identifiable information ('Personal Information') we collect and how we use the information so we can continue to provide outstanding service to you.
If you feel that the Malta Guide Dogs Foundation is not abiding by this privacy policy, you should contact us. We will do our best to resolve your inquiry.

The Malta Guide Dogs Foundation website is designed so that you can control who may view the pictures and any associated information stored in your Malta Guide Dogs account. We are committed to keeping your pictures private and secure. We will never make your pictures publicly accessible, except by your explicit action, or as otherwise noted in this policy. Please note that if you choose to post a link to your Malta Guide Dogs Foundation pictures on your own or third parties' websites or you share your pictures with others, these pictures may be accessible to others, who view the email invitation or visit these Websites.

Our Website is not intended for use by children under the age of 12. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 12. Please do not register at the Malta Guide Dogs Foundation if you are under the age of 12.

The Foundation needs to process information about its clients to facilitate and support the processes required to deliver the services offered. Services offered by the MGDF include:
· Puppy raising;
· Training in the use of the White Cane;
· Sited guide training;
· Training in handling a Guide Dog; and
· Counselling.

As a Malta Guide Dogs Foundation member, we will notify you via e-mail or through the mail about new features, products and promotions. You may unsubscribe to our notification services through your account profile on the Malta Guide Dogs Foundation website. To unsubscribe, send an email with your request to [email protected].
From time to time, we may send you service announcement updates with important information about the Malta Guide Dogs Foundation. Service announcements may contain information vital to your account, so members may not unsubscribe from service announcements.
6. Cookies

Chapter 440 of the Laws of Malta (Data Protection Act) permits customers of the Malta Guide Dogs Foundation to request certain information from the foundation. To make such a request in terms of this Act, please contact us on [email protected]
11. Disclosure in terms of the Law
The information you give us may be disclosed to the Administrative Board or Trainers at the MGDF. This information can also be made available to third parties with the permission of the MGDF Chair, such as to the Police and Security Officers to check the accuracy of information, to prevent or detect crime, or to protect public funds in other ways as permitted by law. The MGDF may also be required by the Laws of Malta to disclose Personal Information to law enforcement and regulatory authorities, even though you might have requested that we don't share your information.
12. Your rights
You are entitled to know what information the Malta Guide Dogs Foundation holds and processes about you and why; who has access to it; how it is kept up to date; and what the Foundation is doing to comply with its obligations under the Data Protection Act, 2001.
The Data Protection Act, 2001 sets down a formal procedure for dealing with data subject access requests, which the MGDF follows.
All data subjects have the right to access any personal information kept about them by the Entity, either on computer or in manual files. Requests to access personal information by data subjects must be made in writing and addressed to the Data Controller of the respective VO.
An identification document, such as a photocopy of the Identity Card or passport of the data subject making the request, must be submitted with the request. Such identification material will be returned to the data subject.
The MGDF aims to comply as quickly as possible with requests for access to personal information and will ensure that this it is provided within a reasonable time, unless there is good reason for delay. When a request for access cannot be met within a reasonable time, the reason will be explained in writing to the data subject making the request. All data subjects have the right to request that their information be amended, erased or not used in the event that the data is incorrect.
